Advanced Search Help Page

Our advanced search page gives you the opportunity to find the item you are looking for with very little information available. To use our Advanced Search feature please follow the guidelines bellow:

1. Enter only the information you know for sure. This could make your search broader but will ensure that the correct answer is included in the results.

2. Please note that “First Word” = the first word in the artist name or song title, “Second Word” = the second word in the artist name or song title, “Third Word” = the third word in the artist name or song title, etc.o:p>

3. Once you enter information in a text box, please indicate on the right hand column drop down menu whether this is the beginning, end, middle or the whole WORD.

Example 1:

You are searching for a CD by “Siouxsie and the Banshees” but you are not sure about the spelling. So you enter the letters that you know for sure. Let say you enter “Sio” in the first test box and “shees” in the second text box. Then you select, from the drop down menu on the right hand side, “beginning” for the first text box and “end” for the second text box, since you know “Sio” is at the beginning of the first word and “shees” is at the end of the second word.

3. If you don't know the first word then just skip the first text box and enter the words that you know in the following boxes (Please don't skip the second text box regardless if you know the second word or not!).

Example 2:

In the above example, lets assume that you don't know anything from the first word. In such a case you skip the first text box and enter in the second text box "and" and Select 'Whole word' in the drop down menu on the right. Enter in the third text box "Ban" and select 'Beginning' in the drop down menu on the right.Click on "Submit".

4.If you are unsure of the order of the words you entered in the text boxes, click on the checkbox 'Search for the presence of these words regardless of order! ' located at the bottom of the form.
